Lost Vowels bundles third-party software and uses reviewed, offline source material to prepare candidate puzzles. The live game never scrapes content services while serving a player.
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)
Advertising is delivered by the Google Mobile Ads SDK, including its User Messaging Platform for consent. Use of the SDK is governed by the Google AdMob terms and Google’s privacy statement. How advertising data is handled is described on the Privacy page.

The React Native bindings for the Google Mobile Ads SDK are published by Invertase under the Apache License 2.0.
Expo and React Native
The application is built with the Expo SDK and React Native, distributed under the MIT licence, together with their open-source dependencies.
Open English WordNet
English lexical data may be derived from Open English WordNet under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. Definitions shown in the game are editorially reviewed and rewritten where required.
Natural Earth
Recognisable populated-place data may be derived from Natural Earth, whose vector map data is in the public domain.
Wikidata
Country, capital and city candidates may be derived from Wikidata, available under CC0.
GeoNames
Broader city coverage may be derived from GeoNames under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. GeoNames material is not enabled for production until its licence review is recorded.
wordfreq
Word frequency may be used only as an offline ranking signal. It is not enabled for production until its data and transitive licence notices have been reviewed.
